I love how it's been days now and still Daily Press doesn't announce how the filming of the next "Superman" movie will take place in Detroit and do Michigan a lot of favors. HERE ---> "The as-yet-untitled feature film was awarded an incentive of $35 million on $131 million of projected in-state expenditures. The production is expected to hire 406 Michigan workers, with a full time equivalent of 426 jobs, plus an additional 6,000 man/days of extra work. The production anticipates using approximately 500 local Michigan vendors during the course of production and spending $5.1 million on local hotels, as well as an additional $3.5 million in out-of-town cast and crew per diem payments that will be spent in the local economy but which fall outside of the incentive program."

We need proactive media and not be reactive to these attempts to belittle the UP. Might be the truth hurts and people like to get away from it all-can you blame them?

Daily Press, give it a break. Who cares what is said about the U.P.. Honestly, opinions will forever be divided, people who live here think it's heaven, people who don't think it's boring. I think it's both and I do live in Escanaba. This whole you bully us in your paper we'll bully you back in our little paper thing is really what's making us look bad, not our depleted down town area.

They're just a bunch of juggalos down there. Don't worry about what they have to say about the U.P.

First, foremost and,

LAST...

The detroit news,

its management and staff

should spend their ENTIRE time seeking a “pleasant peninsula”

inside the confines of wayne county,

the trash-bin they call their name-sake moniker ‘detroit’.

Since,

it is plainly and clearly evident,

no amount of political time,

political and state taxpayers’ money

should be spent ‘bailing-out’ wayne county and detroit,

the ‘news’ should expand its vision inside of wayne and detroit.

More to the point, the ‘news’ doesn’t have anything new to report,

because the same crimes,

the same political criminals,

the same criminal public office holders,

isn’t ‘news’ to ANYONE, anymore,

but more a horror story repeating itself, every day,

ad nauseum.

No wonder, brain-dead detroiters and wayne county people, seek ‘news’ elsewhere…

NEWSFLASH:

Stop $400 million taxpayer hockey rink bailout for private business!
