Why,

in all that could be called ‘common sense’

but rather with the display in the sign’s current location,

could be called none sense, or just plain nonsense?

Locals, will see the sign of course….

Those who have a ‘need’ to work downtown,

and a few who enjoy testing their vehicle’s suspension system, as they ‘glide’ along Escanaba’s’ version of the a pain ian way…

Would a ten year-old think that MORE PEOPLE WOULD SEE THIS LONELY SIGN,

if it were placed at a

HEAVILY TRAVELED INTERSECTION

and have a possible inclination to attend...

Such as ?

The corner of m-35 - u.s. -2, and u.s.-41 ?

Daaauuuhh !

Not to rain on anyone’s parade,

BUT ?

The press headline proclaim:

“Esky150 prep in final stages”

I’d more liken the “final stages” along the lines of a wake or death knell, at best …

Since June 1, the ‘preparers’ finally put up some small ‘signs’ of the 150 year celebration at the south entrance and north entrance to the city.

Just today, I noticed a sign of sorts, HALFWAY DOWN Ludington street proclaim the 150 year celebration.

I'll bet a lot of people will see it as they pass-by escanaba ...

Let me think about the ‘placement’ of this derelict of a sign. . .

What where those words again?

Location, location, location ?

Advertising isn't rocket science.

Too many signtist's NOT involved, thus

they lit a lite and hid it under their bushel basket.

NOW, after too many years,

“someone” was brazen enough to spend more money

to update and enlarge those foolish tiny print signs.

Must be the same group, or advisory group,

that had the gall to design stephenson avenue in order to save on plowing and maintenance and increase traffic hazards and congestion, but certainly not sidewalk congestion, as long as motorists don't start driving on those sidewalk boulevards !

Do you think?

Maybe the same type of ’thinking’ that goes hand-in-glove with selling the only egg-laying golden goose the city has ever known !

Another week has gone by-bye,

and not a word on the latest hold-up or financing snafu ?

Where’s the press when you need a story that doesn’t show people in orange suits on the front page ?

Wizzy,

Don’t tell Vuashe, I’ve composed another page of snide remarks…

He has to be overwhelmed about such things, even if they are more factual and true-to-life, than is his babble.

Satire and criticism is more to the point then republican pandering in the press.

Speaking of hiding and signs .

How many years has it been since

the city

installed those miniscule lettered signs that are supposed to give motorists the name of the street on Ludington Street ?

The only way to read or view them was certainly not in your car.
