I’ve heard that the local cancer group does good work,

and that money collected here, stays in the area.

All the more reason,

to work hard and long with locals,

whether banking, buying merchandise,

we should all avoid those businesses that siphon off dollars to national and multi-national entities.

It’s a nice feeling when you know and realize that locals’ work,

works for us, and we have the sense that something tangible is working for, and helping us here at home !

We all win,

when we support our local people as much as we can, and as aggressively as we are able to do.

Wonderful Work by LOCALS !

Keep in mind,

that recent reports in the media claim that the national cancer society collection effort allows for them to spend only 2% of their collections for cancer related activities.

Supposedly, the report intimates that 98% goes to “in-house” costs, salaries, and other self aggrandizements.

To beg the question:

How much does the national cancer group/association/activity,

send to support our local area?

It would be nice if they told us.
