Poverty exemption - no tax if the total household income is less than the federal poverty level. Some jurisdictions passed resolutions more generous that the federal poverty level but none can be more restrictive. Go to the March Board of Review with income proof. You can also contact the township supervisor/assessor or city assessor for requirements to go before the December Board of Review.
