We shouldn’t need to open a ‘new’ landfill, or ‘close’ the old site.

Many landfill authorities just keep mounding the waste until it resembles a small mountain,

landscape the overburden,

construct ski and snowboard facilities and

make it a ‘destination’ for all that want to ski in the area, and

play freebie golf in the parks.

This could be a real money-maker for the delta area chamber of commerce,

greedy gas stations,

business owners, and

could ultimately relieve local taxpayers of the burden to improve our bedraggled streets.

We could then advertise with Terry Bradsaw, like the city commision is doing in Gladstone, with the money "WE" earned from creating a new 'distination' in the area for tourists with money to spend !

Of course, city faaters, and muters would have you believe that

narrowing the streets to save maintenance and snow removal costs,

is as effective as closing down all the neighborhood schools, warehousing children, misfits, miscreants and alternative education groupies in

Keep the present landfill open,

landscape it and open it as a new park an let the GOOD TIMES ROLL !

All this with no letters of credit, financed entirely by USERS !

The city faaters,

like all good republicans like the idea of FEES,

let them FEE the landfill to the end !
