I don't like microsurface. It doesn't last, doesn't do much good, and certainly isn't worth a million dollars! 40 years building roads for MDOT gives me the right and knowledge to speak on the subject!

Sounds like a bandaid approach to me. Rubberized asphalt would last twice as long.

Remember when they put the microsurface on the four lane between Gladstone and Escanaba? It wasn't a year before patches of it were coming off.

I think MDOT needs to explain why they paint a section of road that is slated to be resurfaced and repaint it all over again. This waste must stop!
