Mr. Kobasic has been stating for years how expansions he does at his facility will boost the economy and employ new workers! FACT: for the last 2 years most of his employees have been laid off for lack of work! He is such an ass nobody including the government wants to do business with him anymore. I know people personally that work there and many have been laid off for months. He just had another lay off due to no work. How is this so called expansion going to boost our economy!! Guess what its not all it is going to do is allow Mr. Kobasic to get away with more and pay less for it. He applies for shipyard grants every year and was awarded 1.3 million in 2009 for equipment. • Basic Marine, Inc., of Escanaba, Michigan: $1,376,187 for a cutting table, press brake, and welders. Too bad he can't get the jobs to use the equipment that was given to him!! Oh and what about OSHA or the guy that got his arm cut off there!!! hmmmmm.....
