“IF ...

you build it…”

Tapani Field fulfilled a similar pipe dream, and

what about the skate-board “park” of the recent vintage…

“if you build it,

they will come and use it”

created local jobs, kept young people in the area NOT.

Look how many young people stayed around, and are still using the field, NOT.

Sooner or later, cost of upkeep is added to taxpayers’ load.

Would you believe having passable and well-maintained roads, and viable shopping, would be more reflective of a city and its administration, for investment, business and jobs creation?

Sooner or later, cost of upkeep is added to taxpayers’ load and removes money from taxpayers’ pockets, and from their willingness and ability to pay more taxes and maintain city infrastructure.

How much has the 'city' reduced our electric bills....

LATELY?

I was lucky enough to be introduced to disc golf a few weeks ago and immediately became addicted to the sport. I was shocked to hear about how big the sport was and was a little spoiled because of the magnitude of courses and options available down state. While purchasing discs at a great shop the owner asked about courses in the UP. I could only tell him that Marquette had a couple and was working on a new one. He was shocked that there and asked that I send him details. He is willing and excited to make the 7 hour drive to the gorgeous UP for some disc golf and to explore all that the UP has to offer.

I am kind of bummed with the lack of options in the area but was very excited when I heard that Escanaba was building four courses. I know that I will make the drive from Marquette often to play the courses because I know the parks are great locations. I think a misconception people have or may have is that this is supposed to bring youth. This is for everyone. Give it a try!
