Every year my father-in-law would have to hire an auditor to look over the books at the Credit Union. He confided in me that he had to interview and then award the job to the auditor.. "Musta been a tough job, Dad".. "Not so tough, I only had to ask them one question, what is two plus two?" - Sounded like a pretty easy question and I said so.. but then asked, "So, who did you know who to hire?" - "Well," sad Dad, "The one who asked me what number I wanted it to be".

What?.. of course he was joking... But the need for an interview and hiring were real in the financial world.. And I can't help but smile a bit when I hear that someone, 'Won the bid to audit' - it's like Dad's story just keeps coming back to me..

Hope the audit turns out as expected.
