Hmmm, But of course, if you increase land values you can also levy higher tax on that land. So, run out there, up the value of property every where you can.. so you can raise taxes.. But don't make it sound as if the land is 'more valuable' - it's simply dirt and it's been laying there for eons.

It's all about TAXES and what our Governments call, "Revenue" or "Investment".. Just another way to reach in our pocket with one hand while patting us on the back with the other!..

Buy more land! - then when the poo-poo hits the fan and you must sell, you won't be able to sell it for what you paid for it!.. Brilliant!

Apparently,

There is a failure to communicate something about ‘value’ and taxes.

Generally, properties haven’t increased in worth, or value, since it is darn hard to get our money out of property these days.

But, the state and equalization departments, continue their quest, to raise ‘valuation’ based on some smoke signal they get.

Property values only increase when sale prices are increasing more than inflation.

By adding new construction, remodeling,

there is NO increase in everyone else’s property ‘values’,

just the total amount on the tax rolls has increased.

Define the terms clearly, then you and the rest of us know what you are trying to say.
