why cant people see that what Mr Barron is doing is creating family fun and family togetherness ? there isnt much to do in our area and this is the kind of recreation people love. I dont understand why it has to be under threat of being torn down. if Mr Barron missed a few steps in his process then fine him for that, but dont make this a trashed idea. people rezone properties all the time.

I do not see anything wrong with the idea of ice racing. It gives family and especially the kids something to do, instead of getting into trouble any kid and do when they get board. I learned of this problem during the election campaign and started following it then. I watched them chech the ice every week, and even went and watched the entire race one day. I was very impressed with the way they handled the accidents, and racers who got stuck or had problems on the track. The Barron's are an upstanding family that cares about community. Everything dries up as far as activities goes that are family friendly in the winter months up here in this area. They should be commended for doing something to keep the kids off the streets being board to death. There is to much support for this activity to just stop it. The Board should stop harassing the Barron's about this and find a solution that works for both sides. It is time for the board to swallow their pride and allow this to continue.

Yes, people do re-zone properties frequently, but there is a process to be followed and the Barrons seem to feel that they are above the law. The Township does not, and should not, decide which ordinances to enforce and which to ignore. The fact that ice racing is an activity which gives kids something to do is commendable, but does not exempt the Barrons from the law. And it is an activity which causes noise and traffic that have an impact on people in the area, so those impacts should be taken into consideration.

Governments, townships and cities, can and do,

“pick and choose” which laws they will ignore or enforce.

Take the fact that we have federal laws, policies, and regulations, on the books,

for the last one-hundred (100) or more years regarding immigration, illegal aliens and illegal invasion(s),

but yet the federal government has recently and repeatedly, “looked-the-other-way” about illegal alien invasion(s) into this country.

Yet the rich and their businesses find it in their special interest,

because illegal aliens can be coerced into working cheaply,

and these special interests pressure elected officials, and our states, along with our federal government to keep the flow of illegal aliens into this country,

to keep labor costs down, and

they feel that illegal immigration is fine, and

Isn’t this “one-for-the-books”?

… "The Township

(AKA government)

does not, and should not, decide which ordinances to enforce and which to ignore.”

“… that have an impact on people in the area, so those impacts should be taken into consideration.”

What about the “impact” that ignoring illegal immigration to this country and how it impacts this countries legal citizens, and

WHY doesn’t our government and elected officials take this into CONSIDERATION?

One thing we can be certain, in this day and age…
