Taxpayers, local workers and the community would have been better served,

by awarding the construction work to the lowest bidder, a Delta County firm, with Delta County residents supplying the labor.

Residents and taxpayers should challenge the administration and the board of trustees at Bay College’s upcoming millage election by voting “NO”.

Out of six companies bidding,

five (5) were from the Upper Peninsula,

but the contract was awarded to the sixth bidder,

a lower Michigan firm with a $71,000.00 higher bid.

Vote NO on this, Bay's call for additional millage!

Vote NO on this election!

Another school vote for millage will be called for in the near future.

Bay de Noc Community College will be calling for a vote for additional millage shortly…

Before a consideration is given for a ‘yes’ vote

– voters should demand of the college administration and the board of trustees,

to answer the question of why the recently awarded bid for remodeling of the nursing lab/lecture facilities

was granted to a lower Michigan concern:

DCC Construction/Antler Construction, LLC, 9100 Lapeer Road, Suite A, Davison Mi 48823?

How is it that a millage bid fails in November and is allowed to be on the ballot again so quickly? Same with Gladstone.
