John, that was tried. Didnt work out.

Look at it this way. If Granholm hadnt squandered Michigans future by trying to get Liberal Green energy to set up camp here while ignoring our manufacturing base, we wouldnt need to change the way Michigan does business.

The sad reality is that Granholm ran a whole bunch of manufacturing jobs out of this state. If tax breaks keep current business here and lure new business to set up shop here, I am for it. At least Snyder is trying to do something to revive this state. I suppose you think Granholm did a bang up job?

Nothing really changed in my taxes. I think I owe 50 more bucks. Big deal. I still paid 5 grand to the state. Same as when Jenny was Gov.

Tax breaks in this state were nearly impossible to qualify for if you work for a living anyway.

So, basically nothing changes if you couldnt get deductions before? That means nothing changes for most people.

College deductions? Too bad if your kid didnt go to the 6 or 8 colleges that were approved by Government. Useless Yooper deduction because no UP schools were on the list.

Don't pay taxes at all but get money in refund anyway? I am supposed to feel sorry for someone who pays no taxes and then gets part of my taxes given to them as a refund? Huh? Make that refund zero and save the 80 bucks for schools or roads.

Make more in pension than a lot of people make working and I am supposed to feel sorry for you for having to pay 4% of part of it in taxes? Don't hand me a kleenex just yet because I don't care if you make 50 grand a year in pension and will now have to pay taxes on half of it.

Snyder's whole plan is to screw over the worker's, while giving even bigger tax break to the business and wealthy factions that pour money into his coffers. He has been essentially taken bribes. Eliminating credits and deductions for gifts to colleges and PBS is an attempt to silence the truth that his policies and those of the Republican Party are designed to create a state where anyone or group who disagree with them will be strangled, while his big money contributors can control all media and thought. It is time to turn him and his Party out of power
