The pick up truck driver ignored the police and volunteers that tried to stop him. He saw the flashing lights, yet was too selfish to slow down.

The driver left the scene of the accident?

"The driver . . . stopped briefly after the incident before leaving the scene." The TV6 story says he slowed down but was unable to stop before the dogs ran in front of him. According to the UPSDA there were two volunteers at the crossing, no police. What exactly could he have done after the accident occured other than stopping briefly and later contacting the police? Unless he was a vet or otherwise qualified to help, another vehicle stopped at the crossing could have made the situation more confusing for other drivers, especially since it was dark. I suspect the driver feels bad about what happened.

I don't know much about the sport, but 12 dogs ahead of you is a lot.

Every trail I have ever been on with all my toys, I use great caution when crossing any road or highway. I am also well aware of when I will be crossing them.

A sawhorse with flashing lights? I relate those things to a pothole in the road or something. Again, I don't know nothing about the sport.

Why isn't there stop signs in a bucket or something like that?

Sympathy to Mr. Moe for the loss of dog and a speeding recovery to his other two dogs. Sympathy to the Pick-up driver. That's why they call them accidents and not on purpose.
