Thank you Tailgater. Whenever I read comments like those posted by jmanderer, I remind myself of the 1st amendment: Freedom of speech. jmanderer's comments remins me of the importance of people like you; people who think of others and those who have been left behind. Tailgater, by thinking beyond the prisoners mentioned in this article, you exhibit the best of humanity. Demonstrating compassion for others that you may never meet, without thought of self, is what sets man above all other species on this planet. I knew the young man who died. He was born imperfect, just as every other human. He made mistakes, just as we all do. But in the end, he did more good than many ever will. He (with approval and the signed consent of the strong woman that raised him) donated his heart, pancreas, liver, kidneys and more to complete strangers. In essence, this young man who died, had never taken life from another, but instead, he gave life to many.
