Sadly our State Police officials have set the example! They do nothing to drunk drivers until they kill someone, seems wrong somehow. These judges that let them off with a slap on the hand should have to be held accountable for their actions as well.

Icedtea2008..We are very thankful that no innocent people were killed or maimed because of this selfish maniac. I vote for stronger restrictions on the general public to have access to these 5,000lb weapons of mass destruction. They should be tested for alcohol, drugs, fingerprinted, 60-day waiting periods, and background checked before being allowed to apply for a drivers license or purchase such a weapon..

My parents were in the bar when this happened! Dad described the impact as a huge concussion noise, and everyone ran to exit the building. A tenant living above the bar was trapped after the truck struck, and my dad had to go get his chain saw from home so that they could cut the tenant out of his apartment. Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt - had anyone been on the back porch smoking or in the bathrooms at the time, this wouldn't have been the case!
