FLORENCE, Wis. - An Escanaba man was sentenced to three months in the Dickinson County Jail on charges related to him fleeing the scene of a personal injury accident in Wisconsin two months ago. Jeffery Dickerson, 29, of Escanaba, was driving west on U.S. 2 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle spun out of control on a curve and rolled over into the ditch at 9:15 p.m. April 5, according to a deputy who witnessed the accident. When the patrol car approached the scene with its red lights activated, Dickerson fled on foot. The front seat passenger in the vehicle, Robert Hanley, 41, of Escanaba, attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by deputies. Hanley and another passenger, Christopher Johnson, 29, of Rapid River, were transported to the Dickinson County Hospital where they were treated for injuries. Dickerson was apprehended by deputies the following day. Last month, he pleaded guilty to resisting and obstructing a police officer and pleaded guilty to criminal damage

I agree. Dickerson gets away with everything. He needs to be locked up so he cannot keep hurting others. How many times can one person break the law & walk away? Its very disturbing to me that they have not thrown him in prison yet. Hopefully this case got enough attention that the Judge will HAVE TO do something this time. Dickerson is a menace to society and people should not have to wonder what hes going to do next to hurt someone.

The party responsible for this is the Delta County Courts. This man (Dickerson) Has been convicted of several felonies in this county and in other states aside from countless other charges. Our D.A. and local law enforcer continue to make deals with this man giving him shorter jail terms and puts out on the street in no time at to break into homes, camps, cars, steal purses, and mub people to suppost his seave alcohol and drug addiction. When will The people of the court figure that flipping offenders just to catch minor drug peddlers give the offender almost no punishment doens't work. This man has committed enough felonies to had been sent to prison many years ago, but instead the courts allow more robberies, dangerous vericle pursuits, and now felonious assulting our community members. I don't blame Dickerson, he never provided him with the therapy he need to get better, i blame our circut court jugde and Circit Court D.A. It's time they look at the real problem n gettin em help
