How about we talk about the demented nut in Norway who killed dozens of people a couple of years ago? This was in a country with strict gun control laws, but he managed to get a gun and do a huge amount of damage, far beyond any of the cases cited in this column. Criminals, by definition, do not respect the law, so why would they respect more gun laws? If a criminal or someone with mental issues wants a gun, they will find out a way to get one. Making it harder for the rest of us to buy and own guns is NOT the answer.

NRA is corrupt. You want to look at evil and mental health... start there. I was an NRA member many years ago. I am ashamed at what they have become.
