Philcaroon,

“Each year each teacher shall be evaluated upon the accomplishments of their students and they should be responsible at least two years after a student enters college.”

Right Back At You PhilCaroon,

But to just paraphrase:

Each year, each PARENT shall be evaluated upon the accomplishments of their spawn,

and they should be responsible,

at least until they (the parents die), for their spawn,

and not the taxpayers having to pay for welfare for someone else’s family of children,

and another round of grandchildren spawn,

fostered and paid for by taxpayers.

Once again, the dolts continue to rant . . .

Having nothing of substance or intelligence to add,

but rather resort to re-hashing the same old b..s.

Interesting how there are so many spawned of many witless, slow-witted, dolts in the same family of incredibly ignorant half-wits.

Nothing new spews from their pie-holes...

Cheesehead got it right.

I want to preface this by saying I am in strong support of teachers and believe in most cases they are underpaid. My issue is with the election process and the lack of the Schools and School board members on educating the public. I do not believe from top down they do this properly and i don't think they really care. Millage elections are defeated on a regular basis only to be brought back over and over in a none election cycle until they eventually pass. I do not see the Gladstone Superintendant nor the Board members having forums to explain to the voters what this millage is about. They do the bare bone minimum of posting it in the paper and pick an obscure date and hope the general public does not get out to vote. You can bet they are keeping all YES voters aware of FEB 26th. I say vote NO on FEBRUARY 26th and make the School Board accountable and get off their duffs and communicate with the people.

I have figured out who Cheesyhead and Frogge legs is - they are inbreed connections to the Gladstone School Board. They are hiding their names under their mothers skirt as they are not proud of their position on the issues. They may not be school employees but the only reason they are hiding as they can't handle the truth. Yes schools need funding but the current structure ***** and the operating funds (not wages) and reasonable buildings (a brick never educated a child) be part of property taxes but the cost of wages need to be a separate cost based upon performance and real competition. Each year each teacher shall be evaluated upon the accomplishments of their students and they should be responsible at least two years after a student enters college. Administrators should be evaluated by the teachers for their wages or be fired based upon their support of teachers. The teachers will be rewarded for student achievement and administrators bssed upon putting teachers into success.

Frogleggs, You may not work for the schools, but someone in your family does. I agree with Redtigers you don't know what you are talking about, and the schools will not close down. If you are so strong on the issues put your name on it as Phil does. Frogleggs what evidence do you want the millage was voted down. The tax's payers are tired of being sucked dry by cry baby's like you. You made the comment it is not any different than renewing a mortgage or loan at the bank on your loan for your house or your pickup, your boat, or your camp. You are wrong, the voters are not a bunch of mindless sheep and don't have automatic pay increases to pay taxes.

RT,

NOT.

I am NOT a teacher.

I am NOT an employee of a school system.

And, contrary to your judgment, I have more than enough sense to know what I am talking about, probably more than A lot of dolts who post here combined. No Brag, JUST FACT.

But, I have enough sense to understand that a school system needs the funds to operate,

and that it must depend on a continuous flow of those monies,

even though they must be renewed and voted upon from time to time,

and such extensions are not unreasonable.

It is not any different than renewing a mortgage or loan at the bank on your loan for your house or your pickup, your boat, or your camp.

RT

NOT to confuse you or make light of your post in any way.

But more obviously, you are confused, and may NOT have readily seen apparent the parody or paradox of my making light of those who are quick to criticize teachers and teaching without having walked in their shoes.

Nor have they put forth the effort to be trained in that role and profession,

to have a basis or position from which to comment or criticize that warrant credible merit.

They continually rehash the same drivel over and over,

shouting the same missives of critical denial,

using a public forum to rant innuendo and insinuation without substantive evidence of having submitted documentation and complaint

for investigation of underperforming teachers or administrators.

Evidently, nothing new is ever allowed to seep into their sogginess on top of their spinal column?

Talk is Cheep or Cheap, for these people.

Put up or Shut up.

If they have documented evidence that they have submitted to school administrator’s, or the school board about problems over the years, five, ten, or fifteen,

prove it now, document with the dates and outcomes, not names, but dates and outcomes.

Talk is cheap - put up or shut up!

So,

the vote turns to no… again.

And the school system shuts down…

Taxpayers have had their say.

Your kids are all home.

YOU’VE PUT UP

AND

THE SCHOOL SYSTEM HAS

SHUT UP

THEN, I SAY TO YOU ALL.

WHAT NOW?

who is the winner ?

tell us now, people are waiting for

your smart - alec answers….

CheesyHead and Froglegs who are ashame of their real names and who they work for or which nipple they are sucking which is obviously the schools they defend. After reading all their post I feel more stupid. In addition to an unprecedented 9 year levy they are working to tax those after they die. I heard they are going to have the politicians they own to pass a law that after you die they can tax your burial site forever and bill your families so they can steal even more of your money. They could care less about the "KIDS" or the taxpayers as they are a fungus that has no life of its own. I ask again - when in the last 5 years have the schools fired one of their many incompetent teachers or administrators other than the ones who have violated children and taken out by our legal system? Please tell us your accomplishments that support your position meaning you have none as you avoid the real questions.

Frogleggs, First of all their is no way to edit after a post. Yes sometimes I will misspell a word big deal. This is about the majority vote, nothing more. So you want 9 years of automatic income with no accountabliliby or performance measure's. I don't think so. You all seem to prefer a dictatorship and will not eccept the NO Vote. The operating levies are NOT for the Kids when 80% out of every dollar goes into the pockets of the school employees. So don't tell me that the school employee's work for nothing. After 105 posts nothing has changed I will be calling people to make sure they vote on Feb 26.

RT,

Every one of those job’s mentioned previously, requires a skill, and some INITIATIVE to make something of oneself…

Surely, you jest?

Get a JOB as a teacher?

Spend four years in college, paying out good money for and education, learning how to do nothing?

Why first of all they would have to spell, one, two, three and four letter words at first.

Then the next semester it would be moving on to learning how to spell longer five letter words.

And, of course you know the drill,

by now they’ve used up a year of school and the next year would take them on to six and seven poly-syllabic words,

and we all know that would just about wash most of them out.

Of course,

the next semester would be consumed with using three and four letter words in sentences not longer than four words long.

And the drill continues until these turkey’s get the drift of writing complete sentences with subjects, verbs, nouns, and predicates, phrases, prepositions, prepositional phrases, dependent and independent clauses, santa clauses, comma splices, fused splices, and complete thoughts.

Next, comes punctuation...

That would be their final curse..

Frogleggs, Surely you can not campare teacher's wage's to handymen or some of the other choice's you used. Teacher's do not work year round, and have one of the best healthcare programs there is. Teacher's life style is not enjoyed by people with real jobs. And where do you get teacher's don't make anything get real, with all there vacations and summer's off are you kidding? Frogleggs work for nothing what a joke. School Brats

everyone has bills to pay, no one gets a discount.

Redtiger -(doesn't anyone have real names in the UP)This is the constant montra of bait and switch - the operating levies are NOT for the Kids when $.80 out of every dollar goes into the pockets of the school employees. It is part of their entitlement greed, to maintain their lavish life style not enjoyed by people with real jobs. They constantly use your children to hide them counting their money with your children as a shield. They are lying and don't want people to understand the facts about school spending. The only crisis with school spending is their constant sipping off the nipple of the taxpayers while no one else has guaranteed escalating income. They have the laws stacked in their favor to constantly put the same issue back on the ballot.

BR,RT,

Yes I agree, precisely the point I’ve been trying to make to a few.

While tenure is a misunderstood, sometimes complicated and controversial issue, the point I was trying to present,

is that there is an established process to follow for removal or dismissal of underperforming teachers and administrators, and in general anyone else for that matter,

and usually follows the “due process concept“…

But, underperforming personnel can be removed, and they are not entitled to a position for life, as some may blindly or ignorantly believe.

It is incumbent upon anyone that has a problem with a teacher, an administrator or whatever,

to document and present their case in writing to the appropriate administrative level,

and not to whine and vent their distain against the system and other children, because they or the administration did not do their part.

This is nothing but stupidity at its purest form.

Gladstone has, now and over the years, demonstrated to have one of the finest school systems including students, faculty, staff, administrators, school board, and public support, and should be proud of their accomplishments for their willingness to support their children and their community.

It is with sadness, that ignorance invested in a few, is allowed to ruin the essence of what is good,

because of the unwillingness of a few, to admit otherwise.
