ESCANABA — A state highway proposal — to change sidewalks in conjunction with widening part of South Lincoln Road/M-35 to add a center left-turn lane — was met with many questions and concerns Thursday. About 30 people attended Thursday's meeting of the Escanaba Planning Commission where representatives from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) presented the highway-widening proposal and options for sidewalks in the area.
