Trump has denounced racism

EDITOR:

You don’t have to be a White Nationalist, Neo-Nazi, or a member of the Ku Kluz Klan. Now, all you have to be is a person who voted for Donald Trump, and you are evil. Worse than Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot or Jeffrey Dahmer. Even though President Trump has repeatedly denounced David Duke and the KKK, etc., it will never be enough. Proof of the notion that if you repeat something often enough, people will perceive it to be true. And perception is reality.

I do not support the White Nationalists, Neo-Nazis, or the KKK. I do not hate blacks and Hispanics. I love women and think that women should be treated with respect, and also treated equally. However, I voted for Donald Trump and he has my support. Our previous president promised to fundamentally transform this country. He came pretty close. Donald Trump promised to undo that transformation, if possible. I hope that there is still hope.

The Democrat leaders and the news media is fixated on destroying President Trump at the risk of losing everything this country stands for. Is this country perfect? No. Are any of us perfect? Our history has many blemishes. Each of us has many blemishes. This country allowed slavery. That was not good. However, nobody alive today has owned a slave or been a slave in this country. We were segregated. That was wrong back then and its wrong now.

Half the country hates the other half and most don’t know why. People are “protesting” in the streets and doing it to get a payday. I heard one black teenager being interviewed and claiming how he doesn’t have the same “chance” that the rest of us do. Probably true, but he has a cell phone and fancy ear-buds. He has enough to eat and clothes on his body.

The “leaders” are not leading and if ever we needed a leader, it is now. President Trump has tried. He will continue trying. Those on the left will continue to try and get him out of office. The Republican Senate will continue to flounder. Nobody seems to be interested in upsetting the status quo. Why would they? When the President says “drain the swamp’, he is talking about them.

I understand it was pretty bad in the past. We should have learned by now. Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it.
