Roe vs. Wade anniversary

EDITOR:

Tomorrow, Jan. 22, 2017, will mark the tragic 44th anniversary of a grave injustice, Roe vs. Wade this Supreme Courts decision legalized abortion on demand in this county. It’s responsible for the senseless slaughter of 58 million precious unborn babies and attacks on the sacredness of life. But, there is hope for the future to remove the scourge of abortion from our nation. the new leadership taking office in our country has promised to appoint profile judges to the Supreme Court and give more support for crisis pregnancy outreach centers to families in need of hope. This would include Pregnancy Services of Delta County. God uses the leaders we choose to show us what we are and value as a nation.

Prolife advocates across this county are remembering this day of infamy with prayers, rallies, and marches.

Locally, Right to Life of Delta County is placing its annual signature ad in the Daily Press today and also has a special billboard with the same message during January across from the fairgrounds. Both give facts about Roe vs. Wade and include a picture of an unborn baby. The press ad also includes a Bible verse “Rescue those who are unjustly sentence to death, do not stand there and let them die.” (Proverbs 24:11) Next week a bus will leave the U.P. with participants making the trip to Washington D.C. to take part in the annual March for Life on Jan. 27. Holy Name School will hold a prolife rally/march on Friday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. Right to Life of Delta County is sponsoring the annual Oratory Contest for high school students on Tuesday, March 14.

May God bless you all for your continued support and prayers to help restore a culture of life in our country.
