There are good people in Escanaba
This week’s bouquets go to:
From Julia Schroeder of Escanaba:
On Jan. 26, Officer Madalinski came over to let me know that someone called Public Safety to let them know that my front door was open even though wasn’t home, and that he had closed it. A few days later Officer Madalinski let me know that it was the gentleman who delivers my newspaper who shut my door. (The wind had blown it open).
I called the gentleman who delivers my newspaper to tell him thank you and I appreciated him closing my door and notifying Public Safety.
There are good people in Escanaba.
From Carol Carlson of Wells:
Holy Name School should have been included in the Right to Life of Delta County thank you in the Feb. 10 Saturday bouquet. The school held a spirit filled rally and March for Life on Friday, Jan. 19, with posters designed by the students, the same day as the March for Life in Washington, D.C. May God bless them for their continued help and efforts to build a culture of life in our area and this country.
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they’ve done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on “Bouquets” and follow the simple instructions.
