Super One Foods will be missed

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Camilla Blakeslee of Escanaba:

I am saddened to read in the Daily Press that our Super One Foods store will be closing at the end of April.

The prices on many of the food items that I regularly purchase are competitively priced; lower in price in many instances than other grocery stores nearby. In particular, I am writing to thank the Super One store for the “cash rebate” program offered to our church and various other churches and organizations. Our ladies service group has used the cash to stock our church kitchen with supplies and also helped us to undertake projects for those in need in our community.

Thank you, Super One Foods. We will miss you.

From Charles and Carol Lundmark of Gladstone:

To Michele, Cally, and the rest of the gang at Super One, thank you for your smiling service and dedication. You will be missed.

From Barb Snyder of Escanaba:

It was with shock and sadness that I read about the closing of Super One coming in April. What a loss for the employees and for the community. Super One’s 28 years in Escanaba will come to an end and 65 to 70 people now need to be looking elsewhere for employment.

If you have been a customer at Super One, please say thank you. If you have been part of a group that has done fundraising by the front doors, say thank you. If you have been part of one of the many groups that has benefitted from the Community Dollars Program (turning in Super One receipts), say thank you. If you have appreciated the service and work of this family of employees, say thank you. Stop by, send a letter or “thank you” card, say the words and add some words of encouragement. This is a hard time, and the expression of gratitude from customers and the community are appreciated. We are sorry to see you go, Super One, and we thank you and wish your people all the best.
