Community comes together for Foster Grandparents

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Cindy Brock, Upper Peninsula Foster Grandparent:

The 32nd Foster Grandparent Program Fundraiser was a huge success due to the generosity of individuals, schools, businesses and community organizations in the three-county area of Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft. The Foundation and Foster Grandparents extend appreciation to all that helped us reach a new record. We will following up with news story on the Foundation’s award given to the FG Program for the 2016-17 year.

From the Gladstone Community Christmas Dinner Committee:

The Gladstone Community Christmas Dinner Committee would like to thank all those who helped make this year’s dinner such an amazing success. We served 458 meals. 213 meals were delivered to shut-ins, persons without transportation, and public safety, Rampart, and the Delta County Sheriff’s Department. Many generous people donated turkeys and others provided homemade pies and dinner rolls. Several businesses also provided funds and food. There were many hard-working volunteers who prepared and served the food, delivered the meals, and cleaned everything up afterwards. Thank you for helping to provide this free Christmas Day meal to our community.

From Right to Life:

Special thanks to each and every person who made a difference for life by supporting our annual January signature press ad appeal. Thanks also to those who made the trip to Washington, D.C. to take part in the annual March for LIfe on Jan. 27, to Pregancy Services of Delta County and New Life Assembly of God church for holding the “Together for Life Ecmenical Pro-Life Prayer Service” on Jan. 26, Holy Name School for having the pro-life rally and march on Jan. 27 and to all who witness for life with their prayers, posters, letters, phone calls, and emails. May God bless you all for your efforts to help build a culture of life.
