Paul A. Theoret
BURK FALLS, ONT. — Paul A. Theoret, 28, of Burk Falls, Ontario, Canada, and formerly of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018.
Paul was born in Leavenworth, Kan., on Aug. 5, 1989, son of Steven and Ulla (Turunen) Theoret. He graduated from Escanaba High School in 2008. Paul played football and baseball for the Eskymos. He was a model for Ford Modeling Agency in Chicago and was employed at Oven King Pizza. Paul was kindhearted, peaceful, gentle, understanding, accepting, and always respectful. He was a nature lover and an avid sports enthusiast. He was quiet by nature and incredibly well-loved. Paul moved to Canada in 2015 to help his mother care for his aging grandparents.
Paul is survived by his father, Steven Theoret: brothers, Thomas and Hans Theoret; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Theoret; loving partner, Julia Conway; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ulla Theoret; maternal grandparents, Olavi and Raija Turunen; paternal grandfather, Clarence Theoret; and uncle, Peter Turunen.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. Parish prayers celebrating Ulla and Paul’s lives will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with Fr. Glenn Theoret officiating.
A meal will follow parish prayers at the Knight of Columbus Hall, 1812 9th Ave. N., Escanaba.
Burial will be in Burk Falls, Ontario, Canada.
