Arlene A. Motto
STEPHENSON — Arlene A. Motto, 87 of Stephenson, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at home. Arlene was born on May 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Theodore and Alice (Wendricks) Berger. On Sept. 15, 1948, Arlene married Stewart Motto at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau. Stewart preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2008. She enjoyed painting, crafting, doing puzzles and going on her computer. Arlene loved to watch and play golf. She and Stewart enjoyed many winters in Florida, mostly because it made it possible for them to play golf all year long. In her younger years she enjoyed keeping their fruit stand at their home stocked for everyone to enjoy. She further enjoyed their seasonal Christmas tree lot in Chicago. Above all else, time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren is what brought Arlene the greatest joy.
Survivors include her daughter, Bobbi Jo (Greg) Majkrzak of Daggett; sons, Garry (Cindy) of Daggett, Larry “Jim” (Debbie) of Stephenson, Garland (Jeanne) of Daggett, Gene (Cindy) of Daggett and Jody “Joe” (Cathy) of Daggett; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sister, Luella Nutt of Green Bay, Wis.; and brother, Gerald (Brenda) Berger of Des Plaines, Ill.
