William “Bill” H. Bisson
ESCANABA — William “Bill” H. Bisson, 89, Escanaba, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 24, 1927 in Escanaba, the eldest son of the late Henry and Bernetta (Boucher) Bisson. On July 6, 1949 he married the former Pamela DeMars at St. Joseph’s Church in Escanaba.
Bill is survived by four children, Michael Bisson, Sue Scheeneman, Gary (Lynn) Bisson and Aimee Bisson; one brother, John Bisson; two sisters, Carol Winling and Mary (Ed) Lambert; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Kimberly, Benjamin, Brian, James and Andrew; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 64 years.
Friends may call from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with Delta County Veterans Council Rites at 3. p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4. p.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish with Fr. Eric Olson officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass at the USW hall, 1201 Sheridan Rd., Escanaba. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery in the spring.
In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the family of William Bisson and a memorial will be established at a later time.
