Braxten David Volkema

MISHICOT, Wis. — Braxten David Volkema was born on Nov. 24, 2017, to Mikayla Thomma and Sean Volkema, of Mishicot Wis., and became our angel on Nov. 25, 2017, due to many complications.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Breylynn Volkema; his maternal grandparents, Carmen (Les) Frank of Norway, Mich., and Vaughn Thomma of Escanaba, Mich; his paternal grandparents, Tammy (Duane) Wery, of Denmark Wis., Scott (Jen) Brantmeier of Green Bay, Wis. and Bruce Wendt of Kellnersville, Wis.; paternal great-grandparents, David (Lorraine) Volkema, Raymond (Sandra) Brantmeier of Maribel Wis.; and maternal great-grandparents, John (Marcia) Burris of Jellico Tennessee and Rodney (Annetta) Thomma of Escanaba, Mich.; aunts and uncles, Ethan (Heather Troyer) Thomma, Ed (Guadalupe) Volkema, David (Susan) Volkema, Tony Brantmeier, Sawyer Wery, Dixie Wery, and Daisy Wery. Braxten is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would also like to take the time to thank the Labor / Delivery floor and NIC-U nurses and doctors of Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their loving care, support and determination to give Braxten a fighting chance.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, with service at 7 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 County Rd R in Denmark, Wis. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established at Capital Credit Union c/o Mikayla Thomma 1651 Main Street, Green Bay, Wi 54302
