Mark A. Larson

WILSON — Mark A. Larson, 61, of Wilson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July, 11, 2017, at his home of natural causes.

He was born March 19, 1956, in Daggett, son of Albert A. and Delores M. (Wandahsega) Larson. He was raised in Milwaukee, Wis., and graduated from the Indian Community School in 1974. He studied early childhood development at Bay College.

On May 3, 1997, Mark married Anna Uskilith in Hannahville.

Mark moved to Hannahville in 1995 and worked various jobs throughout the Hannahville Community. He helped build Sweet Grass Golf Course, worked maintenance at the Hannahville School and in the daycare, Hannahville housing, the Oasis Store, and more recently did lawn maintenance for the Hannahville Community. He also worked at Marinette Marine as a pipefitter/laborer.

Mark loved to golf, fish, play pool, and watch the Detroit Lions. He had been involved in numerous local pool and golf leagues. He was a member of the Hannahville Culture Committee and enjoyed working Hannahville’s Annual Pow-Wow. More than anything, he loved being with his grandkids and especially loved spending time with his family.

Among survivors include his wife, Anna; children, James Bermudez of California, Justin Bermudez of Hannahville, John Larson of Milwaukee, Wis., Traci Uskilith (Shannon Wabanimkee) of Hannahville, Joshua Larson of Hannahville, Shianne Uskilith of Hannahville, Hannah Larson of Hannahville, Matt (Rachel) Karaja of Hannahville, Candice Larson of Marinette, Wis., and Ellianna Larson of Hannahville; siblings, Nelson (Debbie) Larson of Escanaba, Janet Larson of Hannahville, Rhoda Larson of Milwaukee, Wis., Albert Larson of Hannahville, Karen (Michael) Miller of Milwaukee, Wis., Linda Larson of Hannahville, Donna (William) Viers of Milwaukee, Wis., and Doug (Cheryl) Larson of Milwaukee, Wis.; 19 grandchildren and one on the way, Devin, Anthony, Sierra, JJ, Laraina, Anthony, Zeyden, Zyen, Eddie, Nova, Ondraya, Vaida, Terrence, Nigani, Kieran, Kyree, William, William and Hannah; great-granddaughter, Rozelyn; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special cousin, Robin (Toni) Halfaday and family of Hannahville.

In addition to his parents; Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Jackson; and stepson, Frank Uskilith.

Visitation will be held this Friday, July 14, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Hannahville Community Center. The funeral service will follow on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

Burial will take place in the Hannahville Cemetery.
