THOMPSON — Robin Lynn Mulligan, 60, of Thompson, Mich. died unexpectedly on May 24, 2017, at the Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique.

She was born in Manistique, Michigan on Dec. 11, 1956, the daughter of Gail (Couture) Kryzanski and Francis “Blackie” Neadow. She was raised in Manistique and after moving away briefly, resided in Thompson.

Robin earned a Masters Degree of Fine Arts with Summa Cum Laude honors. She also earned a Michigan Teaching Certificate and started teaching at Manistique area schools in 1999.

She was passionate about community development programs and volunteering for school events. She spent much of her free time in her garden, reading books, and spending time with close family. Throughout her life, Robin was known as a selfless and caring community role model.

Robin is survived by her life partner, Tony DuFour; daughter, Audra (Grant) Long; son, Greg (Lhea) Mulligan, Jr.; grandchildren, Marshall and Grisham Gregory Long; brothers, Ronald and John (Melonie) Neadow; sisters, Jodi Bosanic (Michael Schnurer) and Angie Zellar (Terry Zellar); along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Randy.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a time of sharing immediately following on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique.

If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to the family and later distributed to local art programs.
