Joseph Michael Roman Jr.
HERMANSVILLE — Joseph Michael Roman Jr., 73, of Hermansville, passed away early Thursday morning March 16, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Joseph was born Oct. 1, 1943 in Chicago Ill., the son of Joseph and Pearl (Nowak) Roman.
He graduated from Bark River Harris High School. After high school, he joined the Navy and served in Vietnam.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
He worked for 17 years at Conway Trucking as a truck driver.
Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and camping. He was a devoted Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making everyone smile.
He is survived by his children, Billy (Shelly) Burchett and Brenda (Kenny) Starrett all of Trevor Wis., and Tiffany (Nick Lucas) Roman of Green Bay, Wis.; six grandchildren, Shaun Burchett, Chrissy Burchett, Desiree Wescott, Lilly Leiva, Kenny Starrett and Kaylee Raminger; great grandchildren, Mila Zavala, Izzy Cuellar, Braelyn Wescott and Jasey Lee Wescott; and significant other, Beverly Kleikamp.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 25 from 10 a.m. to noon EST at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The Rheaume Knauf Bark River American Legion Post 438 will conduct military honors at 11 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral chapel with Rev Darryl Pepin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
