David G. ‘White Buffalo’ ‘Cowboy’ Lambert

GWINN — David G. “White Buffalo” “Cowboy” Lambert, 58, of Gwinn, passed away on Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 2017, at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 27, 1958 in Independence, Mo., son of Donald R. and Barbara M. (McFall) Lambert. David was raised all over the country while his dad was active military for 23 years.

On May 31, 2002, David married Ann Marie Rodman in Diamond, Mo. They met during the EF2 twister in Dallas while both were trucking and since then, life had never been boring.

David was forced to retire in 2005 from trucking, due to an injury.

David always would look forward to spring and summer to go riding on the Harley with Ann. He enjoyed life to the fullest.

He was involved in martial arts since a child, earning many belts. David also was a scuba driver and enjoyed boating.

Even though David never had his own children, he was the greatest stepfather, loving, caring and understanding.

Among survivors include his wife, Ann M. Lambert of Gwinn; mother, Barbara M. Lambert of Pierce City, Mo.; stepchildren, Shannon N. (Joe) Goudreau, Nicole M. (Josh) Giroux and William R. Whitlock; brother, Gary Lambert of Pierce City, Mo.; sister, Jacqueline Lambert of Pierce City, Mo.; grandchildren, Joey Goudreau, Zayden Myers and Emmit Giroux; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Lambert on Feb. 3, 2012; brother, Donald Lambert; nephew, Jacob Lambert and many aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba. Following visitation there will be an opportunity for family and friends to share memories.
