Escanaba police make meth lab arrests

ESCANABA — Three people were arrested after a meth lab was discovered by Escanaba Public Safety officers Tuesday.

At about 8:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to the shoreline north of the coal docks after a report of a man and woman moving plastic bottles around near the shoreline. After investigating the situation, officers found an active meth lab. They vacated the immediate area, and UPSET detectives were called to assist in processing the scene and the clean-up.

The names of individuals who were arrested were not being released this morning pending arraignment. Escanaba Public Safety and UPSET were assisted by Delta County Sheriff’s Department deputies and the Delta County Dispatch Center.
