ESCANABA — Local contractor Bosk Corporation, which has been in business for over 50 years, provides a variety of services in the Upper Peninsula and beyond.

Office Manager Kate Bosk said the company’s primary focus is on sandblasting and painting.

“We are a commercial and industrial … painting contractor,” she said.

However, these are not the only services Bosk Corporation offers.

“We also do … waterblasting (and) vacuum truck work, as well as scaffolding,” Bosk said. According to its website, the company provides foam insulation services, as well.

Bosk Corporation has had a presence in the area for decades, Bosk said.

“We have been here since 1965,” she said. She also noted the company has been in the Bosk family since it was established.

The company generally works in the Upper Peninsula.

“It spans from Escanaba up to Marquette, and then down to Marinette, (Wis.),” Bosk said of the area where most of Bosk Corporation’s work is done. She said the company will work on projects outside of this area in some cases.

Bosk said she does not believe any major changes will be made to Bosk Corporation’s business model in the near future. “Our estimators are busy working and getting out bids for future projects in the area.”

“We’re just going to keep on our projects that we have going now,” she said.

She thanked the community for its continued support of Bosk Corporation.

“We live and work in a great community that supports small businesses,” Bosk said.
