Gladstone man gets prison for drunk driving
ESCANABA — A Gladstone man was sentenced to prison on a third conviction for drunk driving handed down in Delta County Circuit Court earlier this week.
Edward John Parrett, 49, of 6018 27.15 Lane, Gladstone, was sentenced to a minimum of two years and four months to up to a maximum of five years in prison during his sentencing Monday on one count of operating a motor vehicle with a high blood alcohol content, third offense.
Parrett was also sentenced as a habitual offender with a second offense notice attached to the original charge. He was given credit for serving 142 days in jail.
In addition to prison, he was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.
