Farmers market park ribbon cutting set

ESCANABA — The city of Escanaba and the Escanaba Downtown Development Authority will be holding a ribbon cutting for the Farmers Market Park and Play Structure on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

The park and play structure was made possible through grant funds from the Department of Natural Resources Recreation Passport Grant, and is entirely ADA accessible.

“The Park and Play structure compliments the overall Farmers Market facility and ties everything together with an updated, ADA accessible play area for everyone,” said Recreation Director Kim Peterson.
