Defendants sentenced in court
ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in unrelated cases in Delta County Circuit Court in Escanaba.
Dalton James Peterson, 17, of 4850 County 426 20th Road, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to one count of larceny in a building and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. He was given credit for 14 days served. He was placed on probation for 12 months and ordered to pay a $50 attorney fee. Peterson’s status as a Holmes Youthful Trainee was revoked.
Under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, a defendant who pleads guilty to a crime committed between his or her 17th and 24th birthdays may be placed on probation or sentenced to jail or prison; upon successful completion of all sentencing terms, the court will dismiss the charge.
Heather Marie Mlostek, 26, of 7111 U.S. 2 & 41/M-35, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to a probation violation with the underlying charge of being an accessory after the fact to a felony. She was sentenced to four days in jail and given credit for four days served. Her probation was continued.
