Bero scholarship developed at Bay College

ESCANABA — Escanaba native Bob Bero recently developed the Robert and Shirley Bero Scholarship at Bay College. The scholarship will be awarded each year to a nursing student from a local county with financial need. Bero is excited to give back to the community where he ran his business for many years, the college stated in a press release.

“We are honored that Bob started a scholarship to help students at Bay College. With this generous scholarship support, many nursing students will be a step closer to earning a college degree and advancing the health of individuals and communities,” said Kim Carne, vice president of advancement/foundation at Bay College.

Founded in 1972, the Bay College Foundation connects businesses, organizations and individuals to the rewards of changing lives and advancing communities with higher education.
