Man bound over in cocaine case

WELLS TOWNSHIP — The Delta County Sheriff’s Department recently arrested a 43-year-old man on a 20-year felony drug charge, which was bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court.

Joseph Leonard Boudreau, who has no address on file with the court, was bound over to the higher court on one count of delivery/manufacture of less than 50 grams of cocaine, a 20-year felony carrying a maximum fine of $25,000.

The charge stems from a Sept. 26, 2017 incident in Wells Township.

Boudreau was ordered by the court to have no drugs, alcohol or drug paraphernalia. He is not to enter bars and must undergo random drug testing. He was ordered to not leave the county without court permission.

Boudreau’s bond was set at $8,500 — or 10 percent of $85,000.
