The Esky Pops is a volunteer singing and instrumental group that performs all contemporary music in Escanaba. The group is always looking for new members ages 16 and up to join the fun. There are no auditions needed to join the group, and although a musical background is helpful, it is not required. Rehearsals for The Esky Pops are once a week on Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Central United Methodist Church, 322 S. Lincoln Road, Escanaba. The fall semester of The Esky Pops will begin rehearsals on Sunday, Oct. 1. The group will accepts new members through Oct. 15, but encourages interested participants to contact them via email at or on their Facebook page. Some of the featured songs the group will be singing this semester are; Shut Up And Dance by Walk the Moon, You Can’t Stop The Beat from the Broadway Musical Hairspray, Seize The Day from the Broadway Musical Newsies, as well as select songs from artists Josh Groban and Faith Hill.
