Michigan Agency for Energy at fair
ESCANABA — The Michigan Agency for Energy (MAE) and the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) will host an informational exhibit at the Upper Peninsula State Fair in Escanaba to answer fairgoer questions about energy and telecommunications issues.
This is the sixth year in a row that the agencies have had an exhibit at the fair. An estimated 3,400 people have stopped by the MAE / MPSC exhibit since 2012.
Staff will answer questions about electric, natural gas, and telecommunications services, as well as how to take advantage of lower summer propane prices. The staff will also take complaints for follow up; provide helpful information, and offer tips on energy waste reduction.
The MAE / MPSC exhibit is in the Ruth Butler building. Hours are: now through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m, and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
MAE staff will also be hosting a table during the fair’s Senior Tradeshow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the grandstand concourse.
