Individuals sentenced in circuit court

ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced on unrelated charges in Delta County Circuit Court in Escanaba.

Jamie Lee Rose, 38, of 823 2nd Ave. S., apt. No. 6, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device. Rose was sentenced to six months in jail and given credit for 44 days already served. Fines and costs assessed totaled $698. Rose was also ordered to pay $848 in restitution.

Jessie Lee Lucier, 34, of 2424 8th Ave. S., apt. No. 18, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree child abuse and was sentenced to three months in jail with credit for 16 days already served. Lucier was placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to pay $1,088 in fines and costs.

Wayne Scott Spens, 25, Onoway, Mich., pleaded no contest to assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and was sentenced to 80 days in jail with credit for 80 days already served. He was ordered to pay $758 in fines and costs.

Cassandra Elizabeth Kolaske, 28, of 415 S. 10th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted uttering and publishing a financial transaction device. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail and given credit for two days already served. The court suspended 20 days jail. Kolaske was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay $758 in fines and costs.

Joshua James Curry, 30, of 5948 Country Club 19.25 Lane, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted first-degree retail fraud. He was placed on probation for 12 months and ordered to pay $848 in fines and costs.
