Credit union awards two scholarships
Two area graduates were awarded scholarships from Peninsula Federal Credit Union to help them pursue their dreams of furthering their education. Isabell Chouinard and Anthony Burton accepted their checks recently at Peninsula Federal Credit Union. Burton will be studying computer science at the University of Utah in the fall. Chouinard will attend Columbia College in Chicago where she will be studying cinema arts and sciences. “it was awesome to read the applicants submissions and see the numerous community service activities they have taken part in during their high school years. These two truly encompass the credit union philosophy of people helping people, I am sure they will do great things in their futures,” said Peninsula Federal Credit Union Marketing Supervisor Jennie Gylock. The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who will be attending college or a trade school the following year. Applications can be found online in May 2018 for the 2018-19 school year.
