Pain management workshop offered
ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA plans to schedule a chronic pain management workshop the MTEC center on Bay College campus.
The chronic pain management workshop is a six-week workshop designed to provide the skills and tools needed to help people living with chronic pain. People find they are better equipped to face the daily challenge of their health. Loved ones and caretakers to individuals with chronic pain are welcome to attend this workshop.
Two trained leaders conduct the workshop. Subjects covered include: lack of energy, communication, sleep problems, depression, fatigue, pain, staying active, medication and much more.
The six-week class will meet once weekly during the times of 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the MTEC center. Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required — family and caregivers are welcome to sign up. There is no cost to attend. Call the YMCA to register at 789-0005.
