Defendants sentenced in court
ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in unrelated cases in Delta County Circuit Court in Escanaba.
Brad Michael Overly, 30, Gwinn, pleaded guilty to two counts of controlled substance. He was sentenced to six months in jail on one count of maintaining a drug vehicle and was sentenced to 60 days in jail on one count of possession of marijuana, with both sentences to be served concurrently.
He was given credit for 19 days served in jail. His drivers license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days. Overly was ordered to pay $808 in fines and costs.
Darrin William LeClaire Jr., 16, of 314 N. 16th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to attempted larceny from a person.
He was sentenced to eight months in jail and given credit for 118 days served. He was placed on probation for 24 months and ordered to pay $1,088 in fines and costs.
Clayton Scott Williams, 17, of 10570 N. Main St., Apt. No. 305, Rapid River, pleaded guilty to two counts of probation violation with the underlying offense of aggravated stalking to which he pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and given credit for three days served. His probation is continued.
