Players de Noc present ‘9 to 5’
ESCANABA — A lot of people remember the movie, but almost everyone knows the song. Players de Noc’s production of Dolly Parton’s Musical “9 to 5” will be opening March 3 and tickets are now on sale. There will be 8 p.m. productions on March 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11 with a 2 p.m. matinee on March 5. All tickets are $15 and are available at the William Bonifas Fine Arts Center as well as online at www.playersdenoc.org. Any remaining tickets will be available in the box office a half hour prior to the show.
The show follows three women who work at Consolidated Industries as they try to deal with their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss, Mr. Franklin Hart.
“9 to 5” is directed by Lynn Soderberg with musical direction by Tom Knoll. The cast consists of Violet played by Karen Beveridge, Doralee played by Erica Mead, Judy played by Samantha White and Roz played by Macy Neumeier. Jeff woerpel portrays the ladies boss, Mr. Franklin Hart. Joe is being played by Travis Dubord, Dick is played by Jon Johnson, Kelly Pepin is Bob Enright, Mr. Tinsworthy is played Pete Dzanbozoff and Jason Thibeault is the definitive Dwayne. Doubling up as cast and ensemble members are Robin Gavriloff, Amy Dier, dawn Martin, Victoria Radke, Michelle Wood, Mikhail Moran, Brennan Richardson, Chris Ogren, Ed Langtagne, Kelly Pepin, Joseph Russo and, making her stage debut, Crystal Anderson. Rounding out the ensemble is Heidi Prevost, Heather Grimes, Paula Connell, Cathy Wilson, Beth Peterson and Jon Flath.
