Defendants bound over for appearance in Delta County Circuit Court
ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court in unrelated cases.
Robert Jeffery Bastian, 44, of 1018 2nd Ave. S., No. 10, Escanaba, was bound over on one count of sex offender failure to conform with the registration act, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000. The charge stems from a Jan. 9 incident in Escanaba. Bastian posted $200, or 10 percent of a $2,000 bond.
Zachary Lowell Versailles, 17, of 403 S. 17th St., Gladstone, was bound over on one count of larceny in a building, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000. The charge stems from a Nov. 27, 2016, incident in Escanaba Township involving the theft of returnable pop cans. Versailles posted $500, or 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. He was ordered to not enter the Flat Rock Grocery Store.
Dates will be set in circuit court for the above individuals to make a plea or schedule a trial.
