Cooking Matters for Adults starts Tuesday

ESCANABA — Michigan State University (MSU) Extension and Public Health’s WISEWOMAN Program have partnered to offer Cooking Matters at the MSU Extension Office in Escanaba. Cooking Matters is a six-session course that teaches participants about selecting nutritious foods, preparing healthy food, and choosing budget-friendly ingredients that are necessary to prepare healthy meals for their families.

Cooking Matters is offered free to the public and will be held on Tuesdays, Feb. 28 to April 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. Each week participants will receive a take-home bag of groceries (one per household) to prepare the healthy recipes they learn about in the course.

If interested, call Stephanie at the MSU Extension Office to sign up at 906-786-3032 by Tuesday, Feb. 28, at noon.
