Peninsula Federal Credit Union has started the year as they ended it, giving back to their community. Marketing Supervisor Jennie Gylock and Marketing Assistant Alyssa Guindon met with Nicole Sanderson, the director of the Gladstone Parks and Recreation Department to present a $1,000 check to the benefit an upcoming venture. They are spearheading the build of The Little Bay De Noc Trail, which is a 2.5-mile section of non-motorized pathway along the Little Bay De Noc shoreline. They are currently seeking donations to fund the project. The goal is to reach $35,000, which will in-turn be matched dollar for dollar by MEDC, Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The city is accepting online donations until Jan. 27 at 11:30 p.m. “Any little bit helps. I hope that when our community sees the information on this project they like it and want to donate. Even $5 or $10, it all adds up This is a great project and I can’t wait to see it come to life,” said Sanderson. Visit www.patronicity.com/LittleBay to donate.
